What do I do? My services.

My services begin with a cup of tea. I build everything bespoke so it’s about getting to know you, your personal style, the character of your setting and the practical needs your new furniture has to meet.

Concepts

My work begins, after the tea, with a sketch. Often I will sketch out ideas while sitting with you and that way we can work towards the ideal design together.

I’ll build these sketches out into artists impressions with colour and shape so you can really see what the finished piece could look like.

The nitty gritty

Then I’ll add some functional details such as sliding features, lighting and detailing. Though you’ll specify what you’d like, I contribute ideas from my years of experience building furniture and making use of modern fixtures and fittings to provide great functionality.

Technical drawings

I still hand-draw all my technical drawings once we get to dimensioned and finished designs. And I share this work with you every step of the way.

Before I can create the dimensioned drawings I will take careful measurements. By all means supply me with another cuppa at this stage.

Build

Naturally I source and purchase all the timber and fittings needed and this is built into the price you pay.

And then I can get my hands on the materials and get to work. All building is done in my workshop in St Austell, Cornwall, so that your furniture comes to you completely finished and ready to install.

Install

The bit you’ve been waiting for! Day of installation arrives!

I will install everything making sure of a precise fit, making any minor alterations on the spot and leaving no trace of my work, aside from a beautiful piece of hand-made furniture.

My customers often comment on how clean everything is after I’ve finished.

And of course, we must finish with one final cup of tea.
