Bespoke Kitchen design and Construction

Our hand built kitchens are hand painted and made from tulipwood timber. Shaker style doors are fitted with either traditional butt hinges or concealed sprung hinges for a softclose action. These doors are machined to the desired profile and glued in sash clamps.

Drawer boxes can be timber or metal and are fitted on softclose runners.

The kitchen carcasses are constructed from veneered MDF and biscuit jointed or melamine faced carcasses can be used.

For a timber kitchen almost any timber can be used and constructed using the same process. Currently walnut or oak are favourites.

Design is the first step and a fundamental part of kitchen planning.

Understanding your needs is a priority to us and how you use a kitchen combined with your lifestyle is important.

During a site visit, we take detailed notes on your needs and we listen carefully before interpreting this back to you with sketch ideas. A sketch layout is the basis for an initial cost. At this stage the project needs to proceed before CAD layouts are presented and any fine tuning carried out before material is ordered.

The value of a hand built kitchen is in the design of layout, build quality and no compromise of having to use standard size units. Each kitchen is personally made for a clients needs.

Showcasing bespoke kitchens with furniture from Greenhill Design and specialist work surfaces from Madison Henley, the new showroom will inspire customers on how to create a kitchen which is both functional and individual.

Greenhill Design from St Austell, is an independent Cornish company set up by Ian Greenhill (founding partner) to provide bespoke fitted furniture for the Trade and also Retail customers.

Offering their unique bespoke service across Cornwall and parts of Devon, Greenhill Design has recently taken showroom space at Madison Henley’s production facility at Bradfords Quay, Wadebridge allowing the partnership to offer an alternative place to meet, greet and help assist their growing customer base.

Steven Parker, director of Madison Henley added; ”Combining our specialist work surfaces with Ian’s furniture means we have a unique showroom that people can come and discuss their ideas with us, or be inspired by what they see.”

The partnership are inviting people to come and take an informal look and have a chat with an open day on 29th June from 12.30pm onwards. There is lots of parking, a Barbeque, and plenty to do for everyone so bring family, friends and help us celebrate making stuff in Cornwall!
