I love the challenge of designing and making furniture that’s just for you. Each project is different, that’s what keeps it fresh.

From problem solving, to creating the first sketch and developing the design to incorporate the style and functions you require. I enjoy selecting timbers and grain pattern to make the best possible furniture for your home.

And then seeing the design evolve into a beautiful piece of furniture in my workshop is the best feeling. I make furniture that I’m proud of and I want you to be too.

More about my background

As a child I was always in my dad’s shed, making my own toys from wood and learning to use the hand tools as he taught me. My passion for making things led me to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Furniture and Product Design in 1994.

I then worked as a designer in street furniture mostly working in metals before moving into a retail environment where I was responsible for the design of shop interiors for high-end clients. These different experiences have given me such a wide breadth of knowledge of design and manufacture that I can incorporate into my hand-built work today.

So in 2004 I decided to put all of this knowledge and experience together and start my own business making bespoke furniture and Greenhill Design was born.

Over the years I have worked on countless designs and honed my craft making beautiful furniture that I strive to improve on each time.

I’ve always been passionate about good design, aspiring to making things better knowing that furniture, when well-designed, can make a difference in both practical and aesthetic terms to your home and life.

How I work

  • Hand drawn

    When we start, I think in three dimensions and like to sketch as we speak. I communicate my ideas and interpretation of your wishes through the page via my sketches.

  • Responsible design

    I determine how to build your furniture and provide you with an accurate fixed price quotation. No hidden extras, you know exactly what’s included. 

  • Build quality

    In my workshop I use a combination of the latest machinery with quality hand tools in a clean environment. Precision and solid construction are guaranteed along with low VOC finishes and excellent quality materials.

  • Clean installation

    I take great care in your home to ensure minimum disruption and a clean and tidy finish. My furniture is made perfectly to fit any wobbly walls or floors. And to last a lifetime.
